Pink Bath Accessories

When the time is here to decorate your daughter’s bathroom, you have a couple of options. Both options revolve around being pink. There’s not many girls around that don’t like pink. This is a good thing because you can use this as a base for your bathroom foundation. Using the colour as your platform you should use pink KW to accentuate and personalise the room.

Only from the land of Hello Kitty and Toto Washlet-brand of fancy bidet toilets can you get something so ridiculously and outrageously cute, pink and lovely to enhance an activity so er.. basic. A floral-themed bathroom set complete with toilet seat cover, frilly mat and curtains. You need to add a side table, cute tea set and a plate of cookies to complete the whole experience.

Reminiscent of hand painted vintage Limoges china, this pretty brand new soap dish is just as stunning, and although this is not from the Shabby Chic Rachel Ashwell collection, the pattern is almost identical to the design she used on her teacups and plates in years past. Pink Bathroom With Full Of Pink Bath Accessories

Baby Girl's Nursery Design

I'm living vicariously through a client of mine:  She's having a baby girl and I designed her nursery!  I'm doing the final installation today with my assistant, Meghan, and we're so excited!!

My client was looking for a fun, sophisticated nursery.  {When I walked into her living room for the first time, it looked like it had been done professionally, although she did it herself, so she has an amazing sense of style.}  She wanted fresh & happy and not over-the-top girly.  She's drawn to paisley and florals.  I thought I'd share our plans with you, so here's the floorplan we created for her:

{The mobile (top left) has been custom made in our colors from Pink Perch on etsy.   We've done curtains out of the Schumacher floral (top right) and used the paisley blockprinted crib bedding, lamp, chair & table pictured.}

It's wild & fun & not your typical girly floral. 

We mixed a few Pottery Barn kids pieces with a custom green viney chandelier by Stray Dog Designs  (one of my new favorites for lighting!) and an overscale seaweed print that we'll be tacking up with nailhead.  The "LILY" drawing on the right is a mock-up of a framed fabric panel with wooden beads & letters draped over it for the room.  The green polka-dotted fabric at bottom right is the fabric we used.

Even if I never have a little girl of my own (fingers still crossed though!) at least I got this chance to do little sweetie Lily's nursery!!  She's due in May and we're so happy for our clients!!

Restored 1860 House

Built in 1860, this home went from a hotel to a nursing home in the 60s and has now been restored by Clarisse and Arnaud de Saint-Martin, both antique dealers and interior designer enthusiasts. Definitely French in style, it is brimming with interesting pieces: from Medici vases and Louis XV chairs to plenty of flea market finds.

White House in Spain

Hello, dears! Happy Belated Easter to all of you!

I did not post these last four days because I wasn't feeling quite well after my fall last Thursday. I'm much better now and I'd like to thank you for your warm comments. (I promise I'll wear a helmet next time I get on a skateboard!)

So, back to posting it is and I'm taking you to visit a renovated house located a mere 15 kilometres from Madrid. This dreamy house was decorated by Spanish interior designers Lola and Candy Mediavilla. Mostly white and sand colours, with touches of black which give it a more masculine look.
