Today we will have a look at four country homes through the lens of photographers, André Rider, Angus McRitchie, Michael Graydon and Stacey Brandford. My favourite home is the one captured by André Rider, though I'm also swooning over the Belgian style dining room by Stacey Brandford.

Decorating With Whites

There's an interesting and quick to read article on tips for decorating with white in Country Living. Three renowned interior designers, Rachel Ashwell, Darryl Carter, and Suzzane Kasler give us advice on how to make a white room look warm and inviting. If you love looking at pictures of white rooms but are afraid to give it a try at home, you should definitely read this article.
After each decorator's photograph there are two of their rooms. If I had to choose one of their styles I think I prefer Darry Carter's. I'd love to hear which one you like best!

Restored Home in Australia

Had a good weekend? Hope so! Now it's time for a new house tour.

Built at the turn of the last century, this restored home is located in a small town on Waterfall Way on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia. It takes us back in time even though there are some modern pieces among the antiques.

The garden was influenced by the work of designer Paul Bangay.

An elaborate old aviary now serves as a cat bed.

Country House in Spain

There really isn't much to tell about us moving to Peru, but since some of you asked, here it goes!

I'm from Argentina but I've been living in Brazil for 6 years now. We moved here because of my husband's job and now we're moving to Peru for the same reason. I'm not quite sure how long we'll be living there but it will be between 3 and 5 years and then it will be time to move to another (unknown!) country. I'm surely going to miss Brazil as it's one of the most beautiful places one could wish to live in, the people, the weather, the incredible vegetation, so many things... but we have to move on and I know we'll be happy in Peru, too.

So, enough about me, now, and on to show you this simple but inviting country house in Spain. Enjoy the tour white I go box and weigh some more books!

Old Farmhouse in Spain

Good morning dear readers! Let's celebrate it is Friday at last by visiting this summer house located on the island of Mallorca. With stunning views all around this modern rustic style farmhouse has been restored preserving its original structure.


Stone walls and old Spanish terracotta roof tiles for the exterior.


A stone path flanked by rose bushes and other plants leads to the house.




Modern lines for the sanded wooden furniture in the dining area of the porch.


Bamboo lining between wooden beams for this ceiling.


The living room flows into another sitting area that used to be an open porch. Window panes were placed in the archways.








The kitchen and dining room share the same area.
